Work from: Abandoned Places, Untold Stories Series
This set of works is inspired by my trip to the Habersham Mill. This interesting place once was a small self-sufficient village centered around a textile mill. In addition to industrial buildings, the village included employee housing, school buildings, a barbershop, a post office, a general store, and a baseball stadium for the mill company’s own team. The abandoned buildings, peeling paint, rusted metal, and broken windows bear silent witness to many lives past and present..
